Ostara/Spring Equinox

Ostara ~ Spring or The Vernal Equinox

Southern Hemisphere
(Approx. September 21)
Northern Hemisphere
(Approx. March 21)

The Spring Equinox approaches, and the Wheel turns to that special point of balance. On this day, light and dark are equal, but the light is surpassing the dark. Here we look forward to the longer and warmer days. We notice the buds forming on the branches, the birds returning and animals coming out of hiding. The young Sun God takes notice of the Maiden Goddess and the stirrings within Them seem to be felt in all living creatures. All the world seems renewed-- refreshed-- and bursting with possibilities.
